Colbert with lightsaber
Comedy Central's late-night pundit Stephen Colbert is very passionate about his lightsaber skills. In 2006, as part of the "Better Know a District" segment on The Colbert Report, he highlighted the congressional district in which Star Wars creator George Lucas lives. To commemorate it he simulated a lightsaber battle in front of a green screen so that fans could insert their own background footage.

The "Green Screen Challenge" contest ultimately grew much larger in scale, leading to an appearance by George Lucas himself (he and Colbert had a lightsaber battle) and a feud between Colbert and the indie-rock band The Decemberists when the band decided to have its own green screen editing competition.
