HP's wall-size machine
Microsoft garnered lots of attention when it unveiled the Surface tabletop computer, but Redmond isn't the only company interested in multitouch interfaces. The technology has found its way into computers large and small, ranging from a wall-size machine from Hewlett-Packard (pictured) to Apple's iPhone.

HP's giant multitouch computer was on display at The Wall Street Journal's D conference last month, just a few yards away from Microsoft's Surface.

People are more likely to have heard a joke about...
"Surface" than they are to ever want to buy a 'Table' with it. (To paraphrase Bill's
slam of the Newton...)

OTOH, everyone knows about the iPhone. Funny that ZDNet would write this as if
everyone were talking about Surface when it's iPhone that everyone is talking about.... (Read the rest)
