The good: The 2007 Acura RL has one of the best interfaces for controlling its cabin gadgets, along with the best voice command system. Its navigation system has a comprehensive points-of-interest database, which also shows Zagat ratings for restaurants. Adaptive cruise control is a fun trick for freeway cruising.
The bad: Fuel economy is surprisingly poor, while the automatic transmission makes the engine's 290 horses virtually unusable. The Bluetooth cell phone system can't access phone books.
The bottom line: You won't notice the 2007 Acura RL's shortcomings if you don't push it hard, and its cabin gadgets are very easy to use. If it weren't for the mediocre fuel economy, the RL would be a very good high-tech commute car.
